Man allegedly stabs six to death in Shabad mandal over POCSO case revenge

A 35-year-old man allegedly stabbed six people to death, including his wife, his two young sons, and three members of a family that had filed a POCSO case against him, in Shabad mandal of Rangareddy district on Friday night. The killings occurred at two separate locations about six kilometers apart between 11:30 p.m. and midnight on July 10. The accused, identified as B. Rajkumar, fled the scene and remains on the run.
The victims of the attack have been identified as Rajkumar's wife Sarita, his four-year-old son, and his one-and-a-half-year-old son. The other three victims were a minor girl who had filed a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case against him, her mother, and her maternal grandmother. Investigators stated that Rajkumar allegedly used a knife to stab all six victims before slitting their throats.
According to the police, the attack is suspected to be an act of revenge over the criminal case. Rajkumar had previously been booked under Sections 11 and 12 of the POCSO Act after he allegedly stalked and sexually harassed the minor girl. Because the offence carried a punishment of less than seven years, he had been released on a personal bond of Rs 20,000.
Following the killings, Rajkumar allegedly called his father at around 11:50 p.m. on Friday to inform him of the murders. Upon receiving the phone call, Rajkumar's father went to the Shabad police station and informed the officers about his son's confession.
Police officials, including Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi and Deputy Commissioner of Police Yogesh Gautam, visited both crime scenes to supervise the investigation. Officers recovered the weapon used in the killings from one of the crime scenes.
A case has been registered regarding the incident. Police stated that Rajkumar remains absconding, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
