Man accused of assaulting minor dies after mob attack in Kulsumpura

A 55-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl died after being assaulted by the victim’s family members and local residents in Kulsumpura, Hyderabad, on Thursday night. The deceased, identified as Abdul Aziz, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital.

According to the local police, Abdul Aziz lived in a double-bedroom housing complex located in the Kulsumpura neighborhood. He earned his living by selling tea near Niloufer Hospital.

The incident began when Aziz allegedly sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl, who is a Class IV student. The alleged assault was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras in the area.

Upon discovering the footage, the young girl’s family members, along with several local residents of Kulsumpura, confronted Aziz. The confrontation escalated, and the group proceeded to assault him.

Aziz suffered grievous injuries during the mob attack. He was subsequently shifted to Osmania General Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Aziz died from his injuries while at the hospital.

Following the death, the Kulsumpura police registered a case and commenced an investigation into the matter. Police officials have stated that those who participated in the mob assault will face legal action.
