Malkajgiri Police Launches All-Women Band at Neredmet Office

The Malkajgiri Police launched an All-Women Police Band on Friday at the Commissionerate office in Neredmet, marking a new initiative to showcase the talent and dedication of women personnel in the force.

Commissioner of Police B Sumathi formally inaugurated the band during a programme organised at the commissionerate premises. Following the launch, the event featured a live performance by the newly introduced police band.

Alongside the launch of the musical wing, the programme also included the felicitation of 2026 medal recipients in recognition of their outstanding service and dedication to police duty.

Officials noted that the initiative highlights the commitment and capabilities of women police personnel within the commissionerate.
