Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Issues Seasonal Flu Advisory for Residents

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) in Hyderabad has issued a health advisory cautioning residents about seasonal flu and urging them to adopt preventive measures to stop its spread.

According to civic officials, Influenza A (H1N1) can spread quickly and affect people of all ages. Authorities instructed the public to remain vigilant for common symptoms associated with the infection, which include fever, a runny nose, cough, sore throat, headache, body aches, and fatigue.

Outlining key precautions, MMC officials stated that disease prevention begins with simple daily habits. Residents have been advised to wash their hands frequently, cover their mouth and nose whenever coughing or sneezing, stay well-hydrated, and ensure they get adequate rest.

The civic body also highlighted the importance of domestic hygiene and isolation during illness. Officials urged citizens to keep indoor living spaces clean and well-ventilated, while advising anyone who feels unwell to stay home to prevent passing the virus to others.

Stating that basic care can prevent larger outbreaks, officials advised residents to seek medical attention promptly if their symptoms persist or become concerning.
