Mahesh Kumar Goud Warns Congress Leaders Against Crossing Party Line

Telangana Congress president Mahesh Kumar Goud warned party members in Hyderabad that strict party discipline will be maintained and no one will be permitted to publicly speak against the party line.

The warning came in response to remarks made by Congress MLA K Rajagopal Reddy, who said that leaders joining Congress from other political parties were dominating long-time party loyalists.

Goud said the party is taking the MLA's remarks seriously and noted that the high command has taken note of the statements. While acknowledging Rajagopal Reddy's anguish and describing him as a good friend, Goud emphasized that the party remains the first priority.

Commenting on the state's financial position, the TPCC chief blamed the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government led by former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for accumulating substantial state debts. He stated that several bills had remained pending since 2018 and said releases under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund resumed only after the Congress took office.

Referring to former BRS leader Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Goud added that the previous administration's debt burden poses constraints on the current government, noting that it is not possible to satisfy everyone given the existing financial liabilities.
