Madhavi Killed by Husband With Cement Brick in Ghatkesar's Dwaraka Nagar

A 37-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband while she was asleep at their residence in Dwaraka Nagar, Ghatkesar, on Wednesday morning. Police suspect that alcohol addiction and suspicion regarding the victim's conduct were the motives behind the fatal attack.

The victim was identified as Madhavi, who had been married to Katravath Raju for around 18 years. The couple had three children and had lived in the Ghatkesar area for nearly 15 years.

According to the police, Raju had been addicted to alcohol for the past three years. During this period, he allegedly quarrelled with and harassed Madhavi frequently due to suspicion over her conduct. The situation reportedly escalated late on Tuesday night.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, while Madhavi was asleep, Raju allegedly attacked her with a cement brick, striking her on the chest. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the crime, the Ghatkesar police arrived at the scene in Dwaraka Nagar and began an investigation. Authorities have registered a case against Raju and are conducting further inquiry to establish the exact circumstances and motive behind the killing.
