Madhapur Police Book MP's Son After Aston Martin Kills Mall Employee

Madhapur police have booked 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush, the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP and Jana Sena functionary Lingamaneni Ramesh, after his speeding Aston Martin allegedly struck and killed a 26-year-old mall employee near Inorbit Mall on August 16.
The victim, identified as Bharati Mukhi, worked as a salesgirl at the Lifestyle store located inside the mall. According to the First Information Report (FIR), Mukhi was crossing the road around 3 p.m. when she was struck by the speeding car, sustaining a severe head injury.
A complaint lodged by the Lifestyle manager stated that Mukhi and her colleague had stepped out to a nearby hotel to collect food and were returning to the mall when the collision took place. Following the incident, Sanjush transported Mukhi to Apollo Hospital in the same car, where doctors declared her dead.
Police registered a case against Sanjush under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to causing death by a rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide. The section provides for imprisonment of up to five years and a fine.
Madhapur Assistant Commissioner of Police Ch Sridhar stated that no arrest has been made in the case because the offence is bailable. Sridhar noted that police have issued notices to the accused and maintained that there has been no negligence by law enforcement during the investigation.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh Reddy confirmed that all legal procedures have been followed in the case. Police stated that medical tests conducted on Sanjush returned negative for both alcohol and drugs.
Sanjush is listed as a director in Black Ridge Energy and Capital Energy and studied computer science at the University of Texas at Dallas in the United States. The vehicle involved in the crash is registered in the name of Honer Prime Housing. An email sent to Sanjush and Lingamaneni Ramesh seeking a response regarding the case remained unanswered.
