M. Bhavani Rani Appointed GHMC Chief City Planner as K. Srinivas Moves to RERA

The Telangana government issued official administrative orders on Thursday, June 25, 2026, to initiate key leadership changes within the municipal planning and real estate regulatory departments in Hyderabad.

As part of the official transfers, M. Bhavani Rani has been appointed as the new Chief City Planner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Prior to this new assignment, Bhavani Rani served as the Director of Planning at the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

Alongside her appointment, the state government transferred the incumbent GHMC Chief City Planner, K. Srinivas. Srinivas has been reassigned to take over as the Secretary of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
