Lingamaneni Sanjush Booked After Aston Martin Kills Woman in Madhapur

Cyberabad police have booked 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush after his luxury Aston Martin car allegedly struck and killed a 26-year-old retail worker outside Inorbit Mall in Madhapur on August 16.
The victim, Bharathi Mukhi, was employed at the Lifestyle clothing store located inside Inorbit Mall. According to the First Information Report (FIR), Bharathi and her colleague, Pooja Ashok Alone, had gone toward the nearby ITC Kohenur area around 3 pm on Sunday to have lunch. The collision occurred when they were returning toward the mall and Bharathi attempted to cross the road.
The FIR noted that the Aston Martin, bearing registration number TG-09-G-0666, was being operated at high speed in a rash and negligent manner when it struck Bharathi. The impact caused severe head injuries and heavy bleeding.
Following the incident, Bharathi was transported in the same vehicle to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, where medical personnel declared her dead. Her colleague Pooja then informed their store manager, Ashwin Kumar, who subsequently approached the police to report the matter.
Investigators identified Sanjush as the driver of the vehicle. His father, Lingamaneni Ramesh, is a businessman and a Rajya Sabha member associated with Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party.
Madhapur Assistant Commissioner of Police Ch Sridhar confirmed that a legal notice has been served to the accused. Sanjush has not been arrested as the alleged offence is bailable and carries a maximum statutory punishment of less than seven years.
Police have registered the case under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which covers causing death by a rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide.
