Leopard Cub Found Dead on Srisailam Road in Amrabad Tiger Reserve

A leopard cub was found dead under mysterious circumstances within the Amrabad Tiger Reserve (ATR) limits on Srisailam Road in Nagarkurnool district on Sunday night.

According to forest officials, the cub, aged between six and eight months, was discovered lying on the roadside near the Gundam checkpost.

Officials noted that no external injuries were visible on the animal's body during the initial inspection. They stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is received.

A preliminary investigation suggested that the cub may have been hit by an unidentified vehicle while attempting to cross the road. The incident occurred near the checkpost area where safari vehicles enter the tiger reserve.
