Lake Police Rescue Sudanese Student After Accidental Fall Into Hussainsagar

The Lake Police rescued a 25-year-old Sudanese national after he accidentally slipped and fell into the Hussainsagar lake near NTR Gardens in Hyderabad.

The individual was identified as Nazeem Adam Badani Mahadi, a student enrolled at a university in Rajasthan. According to officials, Mahadi had travelled to Hyderabad after learning that a friend residing in the city had fallen ill. During his visit, he met his friend at Paramount Colony in Tolichowki.

Following the visit, Mahadi went to the NTR Gardens area along the lakefront. While standing on the pavement adjoining the water body, he lost his footing and accidentally fell into Hussainsagar.

A Lake Police patrolling team in the vicinity noticed the incident and immediately rushed their vehicle to the spot. The personnel acted swiftly to pull Mahadi out of the water safely, preventing a potential tragedy.

Following the rescue operation, police officials verified his travel documentation, including his visa. After completing the necessary verification procedures and ensuring he was safe, the police handed him over to his friends.
