Labourer Killed by Speeding Car on Outer Ring Road Near Exit 15

A 48-year-old labourer was killed on Friday morning after a car rammed into him while he was placing safety indication cones on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Exit 15 at Pedda Golconda, along the Tukkuguda-Gachibowli carriageway.
The deceased was identified as Nemaligari Naveen Raj, a resident of Nagaram village located in Shamshabad mandal. Raj had been working as a labourer with Abitej Enterprises for the past two years and had reported to the ORR for duty around 9 a.m.
According to a police complaint lodged by his wife, Nemaligari Andalu, Raj was carrying out his duties near Exit 15 around 9:20 a.m. when a car approaching from behind struck him. The vehicle was allegedly being operated at a high speed and in a negligent manner.
Raj sustained critical injuries to his head along with severe fractures to his left arm and leg. Police reported that he died on the spot as a result of the impact.
The driver of the vehicle was identified by police as Indukuri Venkata Shiva Praneeth Varma, 23, a private employee residing in BN Reddy Nagar.
The Shamshabad police have registered a case regarding the incident and have launched an investigation into the fatal crash.
