Kukatpally techie TV Avinash dies by suicide after Rs 2 lakh cyber fraud loss

A 40-year-old software engineer residing in Kukatpally died by suicide after jumping from the fourth floor of his office building in Knowledge City, Raidurgam, late on Wednesday night, July 15, 2026. The Raidurgam police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.

The victim was identified as TV Avinash, a native of Bengaluru. According to the police, Avinash had relocated to Hyderabad approximately two months ago. He was living in the Kukatpally area with his wife and two children and was employed at an IT company located in Knowledge City.

The incident came to light after Avinash failed to return home from work on Wednesday evening. Police reports indicate that Avinash had contacted his family at around 7:00 PM to inform them that he was leaving his office. However, when he did not arrive home, his concerned family members reached out to his workplace. The office staff informed the family that Avinash had already departed from the premises.

Anxious over his absence, one of Avinash's relatives went to the office building to search for him. Later in the night, the relative discovered Avinash lying in a pool of blood in an area behind the office building.

Upon receiving the information, the Raidurgam police arrived at the scene and began their investigation. The officers analyzed CCTV footage retrieved from the building's security system. The footage reportedly captured Avinash jumping from the play area situated on the fourth floor of the office building.

During the preliminary investigation, the police learned that Avinash had recently suffered a financial loss of approximately Rs 2 lakh due to an alleged cyber fraud. Investigators are currently examining whether this significant financial loss drove the software engineer to take the extreme step, or if there were other contributing factors. The Raidurgam police stated that the case is still under active investigation.
