KTR Warns Telangana DGP Over Alleged Assault Threats to BRS Leader Manne Krishank

BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday, 5 October 2026, warned the Telangana Director General of Police that law enforcement would be held accountable if party leader Manne Krishank is harmed, following an open threat warning him against living in the Secunderabad area of Hyderabad.
The warning followed the emergence of a video circulating on social media that purportedly showed a Congress supporter and aide of a former MLA threatening Krishank with physical assault. The individual in the video demanded that Krishank delete videos made against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his family members.
The person in the video also warned Krishank against speaking about Revanth Reddy’s wife and daughter. The individual further issued an alleged threat stating that Krishank would not be allowed to live in Secunderabad if he continued his remarks.
Reacting to the footage, Rama Rao questioned the Telangana police department's response to open intimidation taking place in the public domain. Rama Rao criticised the force's priorities, questioning whether the police existed while alleging they were busy seizing DJs and providing protection to the Chief Minister's brothers, who he noted do not hold positions as ward members.
Rama Rao asserted that the threats were a direct reaction to the BRS exposing what he termed rampant corruption by the Chief Minister’s family. He directly cautioned the police leadership and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating that both would be held responsible for the lawlessness if any harm came to Krishank.
Krishank had recently levelled allegations against the Chief Minister and his family concerning corruption and the accumulation of illegal assets. The BRS leader had claimed to possess documentary evidence related to the business interests of Revanth Reddy's family members.
