KTR Praises Hyderabad Startup BluJ Aero for Unveiling Second-Gen eVTOL Prototype

HYDERABAD — On 28 June 2026, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and former Industries Minister KT Rama Rao praised the Hyderabad-based startup BluJ Aero for successfully unveiling its second-generation electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) prototype.

The startup, which was incubated at the T-Hub facility in Hyderabad, is developing advanced technology to transform regional transportation. BluJ Aero is currently developing hydrogen-electric and battery-powered VTOL aircraft.

These specialized aircraft are designed for short-distance mobility, enabling fast passenger and cargo transport without relying on conventional airport runways or infrastructure.

KT Rama Rao expressed his delight over the achievements of the BluJ Aero team on the social media platform X. He praised the startup for redefining the future of aerospace and noted that the second-generation prototype aircraft was built entirely within Hyderabad.

"Proud and delighted to see yet another T-Hub-incubated startup redefining the future of aerospace," Rama Rao said. He added that the unveiling of the second-generation prototype marks a major step in scaling up the company's eVTOL ambitions.

According to Rama Rao, BluJ Aero benefited significantly from being backed by T-Hub. The incubator provided the startup with crucial mentorship, market access, and an innovation ecosystem. He explained that this support helped transform the aerospace company from a promising idea into a pioneering venture.

Sharing images from the past, Rama Rao recalled his earlier interaction with the founders. He noted that he had presented the BluJ Aero team with the "Most Promising Innovation Award" in 2022 during the T-Hub Foundation Day celebrations.

Rama Rao concluded his statement by wishing the BluJ Aero team continued success as they look to scale up their aviation ambitions and soar to even greater heights.
