KTR criticises Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over unfulfilled promises at Chevella

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government during a party workers' meeting in Chevella on Thursday. Rama Rao accused the current administration of hiding its failures by blaming the debts of the previous BRS government while failing to deliver on its own key election promises.
Addressing the gathering in Chevella, the BRS working president claimed that the Congress government had borrowed Rs 4 lakh crore over the past two and a half years. He demanded that the government explain to the public what was done with these borrowed funds. Rama Rao also alleged that any financial aid provided to farmers by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was motivated solely by electoral gains.
The BRS leader contrasted the current situation with the industrial growth achieved under the previous BRS administration led by K. Chandrashekar Rao. He highlighted that multiple industries were brought to the once-backward Chevella region during their tenure. This included the establishment of major industrial parks in Chandanvelly and Sitarampur, which attracted global companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Welspun, ultimately creating employment for thousands of local youth.
In contrast to this development, Rama Rao accused the Congress government of presiding over the demolition of thousands of homes. He stated that the Congress party had deceived the public with countless promises before the elections, and asserted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy must be taught a lesson at the right time by reminding citizens of those unfulfilled pledges.
Specifically, Rama Rao pointed out that the Congress party had announced Rs 12 lakh per person under the Dalit Bandhu scheme in its "Chevella declaration." He also noted promises of an Indiramma house for every homeless person and the issuance of pattas for assigned lands. Instead of keeping these promises, Rama Rao alleged that the Congress government is snatching away assigned lands and has failed to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme.
The party workers' meeting was also attended by former minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy and former MLA Patnam Narendra Reddy, alongside other local leaders.
