KTR Condemns Arrest of BRS Leader Manne Krishank, Slams Congress Government

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao has strongly condemned the arrest of party leader Manne Krishank in Hyderabad, alleging that the action was taken to suppress political dissent in the state. In a series of statements posted on social media platform X, Rama Rao criticised the Congress government in Telangana and targeted senior leader Rahul Gandhi over the police action.

According to Rama Rao, Krishank was illegally arrested after he raised questions backed by supporting documents regarding alleged corruption involving the Anumula family. The BRS working president asserted that Krishank had provided evidence before being taken into custody by authorities.

Taking aim at the Congress leadership, Rama Rao questioned why Rahul Gandhi could make unsubstantiated allegations against political rivals, while an opposition leader in Telangana was sent to jail for asking questions supported by records. He claimed that the state government was deliberately targeting leaders who raised issues against the administration.

Rama Rao further alleged a contradiction in the Congress party's national and state stances. He stated that while Rahul Gandhi speaks about upholding the Constitution in New Delhi, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is running an anarchic administration in Telangana. He also accused the state government of actively encouraging defections from opposition parties.

Additionally, the BRS leader pointed out that Rahul Gandhi has consistently campaigned against alleged vote theft while allowing Revanth Reddy to lead the state government despite allegations against him in the cash-for-vote case.
