KTR Backs Rajgopal Reddy's Corruption Allegations Against Telangana Congress

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao has backed allegations of rampant corruption made by Congress MLA from Munugode, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, against the Telangana state government.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, Rama Rao stated that he fully agreed with Rajgopal Reddy’s remarks regarding corruption in the state. He alleged that while 500 conditions are imposed on poor individuals seeking Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh to build a house, the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister are siphoning off lakhs of crores through corrupt practices.

Rama Rao pointed out that the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister, and other senior Congress leaders are facing serious corruption accusations directly from their own party legislator. He urged Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to listen to his party’s elected representatives who are openly highlighting the scale of corruption within the state administration.

The BRS working president further alleged that Rahul Gandhi had turned the Telangana Congress unit into an ATM for himself and the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

In addition to addressing the Congress leadership, Rama Rao appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take note of the allegations levelled by Rajgopal Reddy against the state government. He remarked that while the Prime Minister frequently refers to Telangana as an ATM for the AICC, concrete action has not followed. He highlighted that no further steps were taken even after an Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on a state minister.

Rama Rao also complimented NALSAR students for sending a clear message that India's youth would react if their dignity and self-respect were attacked. He thanked the Chief Justice of India for stepping forward and acknowledging the issue involving the judiciary and students, expressing hope that such instances of overreach would not be repeated.
