KTR Announces 25-Year Development Roadmap for Telangana at Malaysia Event

HYDERABAD — Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao announced that his party has prepared a comprehensive 25-year roadmap for the future development and governance of Telangana. Speaking at the Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday, Rama Rao outlined the party's long-term strategic blueprint for the state's growth and transformation.

The celebrations were organized jointly by the Malaysia Telugu Association and the BRS NRI Malaysia chapter. During his address, Rama Rao emphasized that the future belongs to societies that possess knowledge, innovation, and foresight, asserting that the BRS has a clear vision that stands unmatched by other political parties.

He stated that no other political group has articulated a development vision comparable to what BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has envisaged for Telangana. Rama Rao exuded confidence that the BRS would return to power in the state in 2028, and that KCR would once again serve as the chief minister.

Outlining the party's specific priorities for the next phase of Telangana's development, Rama Rao focused on several key civic and technological areas. These priorities include ensuring uninterrupted access to safe drinking water, strengthening public transportation systems, constructing future-ready infrastructure, and leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to drive economic growth.

Rama Rao called upon the global Telangana diaspora to actively participate in the state's ongoing development journey. He noted that non-resident Indians (NRIs) have a critical role to play in shaping Telangana’s future through investments, professional expertise, and knowledge-sharing.

During his speech, the BRS leader also criticized the Congress party, accusing them of attempting to undermine Telangana's developmental achievements through misinformation and propaganda. He cautioned the public against political opponents whom he accused of spreading negativity.

"Some leaders who know little about Telangana’s history, development, water resources and economic progress are spreading poison against the state," Rama Rao remarked. He added that when times are unfavorable, even harmless creatures begin to hiss like cobras, advising citizens to remain cautious of such elements.

He concluded by comparing Telangana's rapid growth story under KCR's leadership to the economic success trajectories of prominent Asian economies, including Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.
