KPHB Police Arrest Two Domestic Helps for Stealing Gold Biscuit from Villa

The KPHB police on Tuesday arrested two domestic helps for allegedly stealing a 100-gram gold biscuit and ₹1 lakh in cash from a villa located in KPHB Colony, Hyderabad. Following the arrest of the two accused women, the police successfully recovered the stolen gold biscuit intact.
The police identified the arrested suspects as Konala Ramya, aged 36, and her sister, Karri Nagalaxmi, aged 34. Both sisters are natives of the West Godavari district. Prior to their arrest, the two women were working as domestic helps at the KPHB Colony villa, which is the residence of the complainant, Uddagiri Tata Rao.
According to the police, the theft occurred on May 19. On that day, the complainant’s wife, Naga Udaya Bhaskaram, accidentally left an almirah inside the villa unlocked. Upon noticing the unlocked almirah, the two sisters allegedly took the 100-gram gold biscuit and the cash of ₹1 lakh.
After committing the theft, the sisters allegedly shared the stolen ₹1 lakh cash between themselves. They decided to conceal the 100-gram gold biscuit to keep it hidden for later disposal.
Following the discovery of the theft, a complaint was filed and the KPHB police began their investigation into the matter. Acting on reliable information, the police successfully traced the suspects and apprehended both Konala Ramya and Karri Nagalaxmi in the early hours of Tuesday.
