Kovidhkushal Reddy, Chetan Maale Win 243rd Brilliant Trophy Chess Titles

A. Kovidhkushal Reddy and Chetan Maale secured the Open and juniors category titles respectively at the 243rd Brilliant Trophy chess tournament held at Brilliant Grammar School in Dilsukhnagar on Sunday.

In the juniors division, Chetan Maale of D.A.V Public School, Safilguda, took first place by scoring six points out of six rounds. Naga Suryasaketh placed second and M. Divyansh finished third, after both scored five points out of six rounds.

The Open category saw a three-way tie for first place, with A. Kovidhkushal Reddy, Shaik Md. Irfan, and Pramodhkumar Reddy each finishing with five points out of six rounds. Kovidhkushal clinched the championship title by virtue of a tie-break score.

Following the tie-break calculation in the Open category, Shaik Md. Irfan was awarded second place, while Pramodhkumar Reddy finished in third place.
