Komatireddy Venkat Reddy Announces Rs 13,000 Crore Road Projects in Telangana

On Monday, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced a massive road infrastructure push for Telangana during a public programme in Nalgonda, revealing that road projects worth ₹13,000 crore will be taken up under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). The Minister stated that these upcoming projects aim to boost development in both the urban and rural areas of the state, while also facilitating industrial growth and generating new employment opportunities.
During his address, Minister Venkat Reddy highlighted that funds amounting to ₹7,110 crore have already been secured under plan and non-plan heads for road development during his tenure.
He also shared details of key coordination efforts with the central government. He noted that ₹1,900 crore has been sanctioned under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund for the construction of junctions and cement concrete roads. This funding was approved following detailed discussions with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The state's Roads and Buildings Department is currently working to secure an additional ₹1,000 crore under the same central fund.
Providing updates on other major connectivity corridors, the Minister announced that tenders have officially been called for the ₹11,000 crore Regional Ring Road project. Overall, the Roads and Buildings Department is currently executing various road works worth ₹26,000 crore across Telangana.
Furthermore, the Detailed Project Report for the Hyderabad-Amaravati greenfield highway has been finalised, and the project has officially entered the tender stage. Additionally, Venkat Reddy announced that the construction of a 52-kilometre elevated corridor between Mannanur and Srisailam is set to be launched soon.
At the same event, the Minister also extended financial assistance of ₹50,000 to a family from the Munugode constituency to help them set up a local kirana shop.
