Khethworks Opens New Corporate Office in Sainikpuri, Hyderabad

Agritech social enterprise Khethworks Private Limited has inaugurated its new corporate office in Sainikpuri, Hyderabad, expanding its reach to provide affordable solar-powered irrigation systems to small and marginal farmers.

The new facility marks a key step in the company's ongoing efforts to develop and scale technology-driven solutions for agricultural producers. The enterprise specifically targets farmers cultivating small plots of land who face persistent challenges related to irrigation, erratic rainfall patterns, and the high operating costs associated with traditional fuel-based pumping systems.

Khethworks focuses on developing affordable, portable, and reliable solar-powered dryland crop cycle solutions tailored to the practical needs of small-acreage farming.

The enterprise originally emerged from the MIT Tata Center for Technology and Design, where its core technology was conceived and engineered to address irrigation access issues in India. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has previously highlighted Khethworks as an innovative startup creating solar-powered pumps that enable farmers to irrigate their fields throughout the entire year.
