Khethworks Opens Corporate Office in Sainikpuri to Expand Solar Irrigation Solutions

Khethworks Private Limited, an agriculture-focused social enterprise developing affordable solar-powered irrigation solutions, has inaugurated its new corporate office in Sainikpuri, Hyderabad.

The new office marks a step forward in the company's efforts to develop and scale technology-led solutions for small and marginal farmers. The enterprise focuses on addressing challenges related to dryland crop cycles, erratic rainfall, and the high operational costs associated with conventional fuel-based water pumping.

According to a company press release, Khethworks designs portable, efficient, and affordable solar-powered systems tailored specifically to the requirements of small-plot farmers.

The company originally emerged from the MIT Tata Center for Technology and Design, where its technology was developed to solve irrigation difficulties faced by small-acreage farmers in India. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has recognized the startup for developing solar-powered pumps that enable farmers to sustain crop irrigation throughout the year.
