Khalsa Defeats Nizamabad by Nine Wickets to Clinch HCA B-Division T20 Title

Khalsa CC secured a dominant nine-wicket victory over Nizamabad in Hyderabad on Sunday to win the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) B-Division T20 league-cum-knockout tournament final.

The championship match, which took place in the city, saw Khalsa comfortably chase down Nizamabad’s target with more than an over to spare. The victory was set up by a disciplined bowling performance in the first innings and completed by a masterful batting display during the run chase.

Batting first, the Nizamabad District team struggled to build significant partnerships against a focused Khalsa bowling attack. Nizamabad was eventually restricted to a total of 167 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Srikar Reddy Yedla was the standout performer for the Nizamabad side, scoring a resilient 75 runs to give his team a fighting chance. However, he found little support from the other end as Khalsa’s bowlers kept chipping away with regular wickets.

S. Ritvik was the pick of the bowlers for Khalsa, delivering a superb spell to finish with highly economical figures of four wickets for 22 runs. His spells consistently broke Nizamabad's momentum during the middle and death overs.

In reply, Khalsa's batsmen made the run chase look effortless. The team cruised to the target, finishing at 170 runs for the loss of just one wicket in 18.4 overs.

The successful chase was powered by two outstanding individual performances. Manikanteshwar Reddy played a starring role, scoring a brilliant 81 runs to put Khalsa in a commanding position. He was ably supported by M. Hansin Reddy, who anchored the innings and remained unbeaten on 69 runs to ensure there were no late hiccups.

By finishing the chase in the 19th over with nine wickets in hand, Khalsa officially clinched the HCA B-Division T20 league-cum-knockout tournament championship, capping off a successful campaign.
