Khalique Khan and Dhavalika Devi Win Triple Gold at Gachibowli Shooting Championship

Local shooters Mohd Abdul Khalique Khan Mustafa Khan and Dhavalika Devi Nyamurs emerged as the standout performers at the Open Telangana State Shooting Championship, winning three gold medals each. The state-level sporting event, which showcased a dominant display of local shooting talent, took place at the SATG Ranges in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on Thursday.
Mohd Abdul Khalique Khan Mustafa Khan secured his three gold medals in the 50m rifle prone event, competing across the men’s, junior men’s, and youth categories. Dhavalika Devi Nyamurs also matched this feat by winning three gold medals in the junior women’s, youth, and 50m rifle three-position events.
Another notable performer of the day was P. Homanshika Reddy, who claimed two gold medals to further highlight the competitive field. Reddy won the 50m rifle prone women’s title with a score of 586 out of 600. She followed this victory by securing the 50m rifle three-position women’s title with a score of 581 out of 600.
In the highly competitive 50m rifle prone men's category, Mohd Abdul Khalique Khan Mustafa Khan scored 591 out of 600 to take the top spot. Muhammad Ameer Muaawiyah Khan finished behind him with a score of 585 out of 600, while Rohit Kaviti secured third place with 584 out of 600.
In the women's 50m rifle prone category, behind Homanshika Reddy’s winning score of 586, I. Priyanka Rao took second place with 580 out of 600, and P. Pravani finished in third place with a score of 572 out of 600.
The junior men’s 50m rifle prone category saw Mohd Abdul Khalique Khan Mustafa Khan top the charts once again with his score of 591 out of 600. Mahendra Nath Bhashyam claimed the second spot with a score of 577 out of 600, while Raiyan Faisal Yousufuddin finished third with a score of 576 out of 600.
The championship concluded with a valedictory function attended by several distinguished guests. Former Member of Parliament Shyam Singh Yadav was present at the ceremony. He was joined by Salalith Tottempudi, who serves as the President of the Rifle Association of Andhra Pradesh and is a Governing Body Member of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).
Amit Sanghi, the President of the Telangana Rifle Association and Senior Vice-President of the NRAI, also graced the occasion to celebrate the achievements of the state's top shooters.
