Khairatabad Constituency Records 457 VIP Electors in Hyderabad Voter Roll Revision

A special voter enumeration drive across Hyderabad district has identified 2,081 VIP electors, with the Khairatabad Assembly constituency—which covers neighbourhoods including Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Film Nagar, and Prashasan Nagar—accounting for 457 of them.

The findings emerged from an enumeration exercise conducted as part of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The review showed that a majority of prominent personalities from the film industry, politics, business, sports, and civil services have retained their voting rights in Hyderabad despite having ancestral or native connections outside the city.

Across Hyderabad district's 15 Assembly constituencies, election authorities focused on collecting and digitising Enumeration Forms for the 2,081 identified VIP electors. Of these, 1,515 forms have been digitised, representing a completion rate of 72.80%. The remaining individuals fall under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, and Duplicate categories. Election officials have not released the names of celebrities who have opted out of the district's voter rolls.

In the Khairatabad constituency, officials digitised 324 forms out of the 457 identified VIP electors, achieving a 70.90% completion rate. A detailed verification of these 457 electors revealed that more than 15 individuals were deceased, while 43 had shifted their electoral registration away from Hyderabad to other areas.

The verification also revealed that three electors are registered to vote in Andhra Pradesh despite living in Hyderabad, retaining their electoral ties with their native state. Two of those individuals reportedly belong to the same film family. Additionally, two VIPs declined to provide their information during the enumeration process.

Elsewhere in the Greater Hyderabad limits, a political leader was found registered as a voter in the Cherlapally ward area.

Among all 15 constituencies in Hyderabad district, Secunderabad Cantonment recorded the highest number of identified VIP electors at 771. Khairatabad followed with 457, while Sanathnagar recorded 293 and Secunderabad registered 165.
