Kashmira Pardeshi Reflects on Netflix's Glory and Her Ramoji Film City Memories

Actress Kashmira Pardeshi recently reflected on her role in the Netflix series Glory and shared her deep connection to Hyderabad, recalling a significant milestone at the city's iconic Ramoji Film City. Speaking about her journey in multilingual cinema, the actress detailed her experiences playing complex characters and her fond memories of the city.
In Glory, Pardeshi portrayed Bharti Shekhawat, a character she described as sharp, emotionally controlled, and highly unpredictable. To prepare for the role, Pardeshi focused on underplaying her performance and understanding the power dynamics of the show's intense atmosphere.
She noted that her confrontation scenes with co-star Divyenndu, who played Dev Singh, were particularly challenging. According to Pardeshi, she had to maintain external composure while internally provoking him, finding a balance to ensure the performance did not become too loud or obvious. Working alongside co-stars like Divyenndu, Pulkit Samrat, and Ashutosh Rana served as a major learning experience, which she said pushed her to stay present in her scenes.
Pardeshi's career spans multiple film industries, with notable projects including Nartanasala in 2018, Sivappu Manjal Pachai in 2019, and The Freelancer in 2023. She credited the South Indian film industry for its scale and passion, stating that working in different languages has taught her adaptability and how to communicate emotions beyond language.
The actress also expressed a strong personal connection to Hyderabad, remarking that the city's culinary scene has completely spoiled her. Her most cherished memory of the city dates back to her childhood, when she visited Ramoji Film City with her grandmother at the age of ten. In a full-circle moment nearly 12 years later, Pardeshi returned to the same film studio to shoot a project and was able to host her grandmother on her set.
Addressing the challenges of her profession, Pardeshi acknowledged experiencing phases of self-doubt due to the unpredictable nature of the industry. She emphasized that consistency, rather than panic, helped her navigate difficult periods. Off-screen, she credits her family, close friends, and solo travel with keeping her grounded and balanced.
