Karimnagar Diamonds secured a convincing 58-run victory over Ranga Reddy Risers in the TG20 League cricket championship at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday. The win brings both teams to an equal standing in the tournament, with each side now holding six points from five matches, consisting of three wins and two losses.

Opting to bat first, Karimnagar Diamonds posted a formidable total of 230 for five in their allotted 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Rahul Radesh and HK Simha were the primary architects of the innings, putting together a crucial 123-run partnership for the third wicket. Radesh scored 72 runs off 37 deliveries, featuring seven boundaries and four sixes, while Simha contributed a 38-ball 60, hitting five fours and three sixes.

Earlier in the innings, openers Satwik Reddy and captain Tanmay Agarwal provided a brisk start, adding 42 runs in 4.1 overs. Reddy was dismissed by left-arm spinner Tanay Thyagarajan for 24 runs off 13 balls. Soon after, pacer Tanay Jaddu dismissed Agarwal for 29 runs off 16 balls, leaving the Diamonds at 60 for two in 5.4 overs. Late cameos from Chandan Sahani, who made 19 off 10 balls, and Shubham Sharma, who remained unbeaten on 17 off seven balls, pushed the total past the 200-mark. Among the Risers' bowlers, Tanay Jaddu took two wickets for 47 runs, while pacer Aryan Cariappa conceded 60 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket.

In reply, the Ranga Reddy Risers struggled to keep up with the steep run rate, losing wickets at regular intervals and finishing on 172 for nine. Opener Gnana Reddy provided a quick start with 23 runs off 11 balls, and Aditya Javvaji fought back with 48 runs off 31 deliveries, including four boundaries and three sixes. However, the rest of the batting lineup collapsed against the Diamonds' bowling attack.

Leg-spinner Narayana Teja led the bowling department for the Diamonds, taking three wickets for 25 runs. Pacer Rathlavath Dinesh claimed two wickets for 25 runs, and left-arm spinner Shubham Sharma took two for 38. Ashish Srivastav also chipped in with one wicket for 19 runs to seal the victory.
