Kalvakuntla Kavitha Rules Out Rejoining BRS and Demands Party Funds for Martyrs

Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Thursday ruled out ever rejoining the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) during a press conference in Kothagudem. Speaking to reporters, Kavitha dismissed rumors of her return to the BRS as false propaganda and accused her former party of targeting her through social media trolling and character assassination.
Addressing the media in Kothagudem, Kavitha stated that she would not return to the BRS "until my last breath." She alleged that the BRS was actively working against her party, claiming they have sent numerous complaints to the Election Commission of India to take away the TRS party name. However, she asserted that they would not be able to steal the public support her party commands.
During the press conference, the TRS chief demanded that the ₹1,400 crore currently held in the BRS party accounts be immediately confiscated. She argued that these funds should instead be distributed to the families of Telangana martyrs. She accused the BRS social media handles of resorting to vulgar trolling against her.
Kavitha also targeted the current state government and the Chief Minister of Telangana, accusing them of deliberately neglecting key infrastructure. She claimed that out of animosity toward the previous regime, the Chief Minister is intentionally leaving the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project idle rather than providing water to parched fields.
According to Kavitha, any leader with a basic understanding of water management would know how to resolve the current water issues. She explained that without even touching the Medigadda barrage, the government could build a simple, half-kilometer stone wall to lift and pump water from the Kannepally pump house through the Annaram and Sundilla barrages. Instead of implementing this solution, she claimed, the current government has chosen to starve the state's farmers.
