Kachiguda Teen Dies by Suicide Near Huppuguda After Scolding Over Phone Use

A 17-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide after stepping in front of a moving goods train near Huppuguda railway station in Hyderabad, police said.

According to officials, the teenager, who was a resident of Kachiguda, was reportedly upset after her father reprimanded her over excessive mobile phone use.

Police stated that the girl frequently spent long hours on her mobile phone and had been admonished by her father multiple times regarding the habit.

Following a reprimand on Tuesday night, the teenager left her home. Her body was later discovered near Huppuguda railway station at around 4 am on Wednesday.

Railway police were alerted to the situation after receiving information from a home guard. Officers reached the spot, identified the victim, and informed her family members.

The police have registered a case regarding the incident, and further investigation is currently under way.
