KA Paul Invites Sacked Minister Konda Surekha to Join Praja Shanthi Party
Hyderabad: Praja Shanthi Party President K.A. Paul has extended an open invitation to sacked Telangana Minister Konda Surekha to join his party, describing her as a powerful leader.
Shortly before her ouster from the Telangana Cabinet, Paul released a video message on social media inviting her into his party fold. He offered her a prominent platform within the Praja Shanthi Party if she felt sidelined.
Paul alleged that in the current Congress government, only upper caste leaders enjoy political job security, while leaders from Backward Classes and weaker sections are targeted and left vulnerable.
He further claimed that the Praja Shanthi Party is the only political platform capable of delivering real justice to BC communities in Telangana.
The development came as Endowments and Forest Minister Konda Surekha was sacked from the State Cabinet on Thursday. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy decided to drop her from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect and forwarded a recommendation to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.
The Chief Minister's action followed a recommendation by the TPCC Disciplinary Committee for stringent action against Surekha in connection with alleged anti-Chief Minister and anti-Congress remarks made by her daughter, which ultimately led to the recommendation for her removal from the Cabinet.
