Jubilee Hills Inspector Suspended Over Lapses in Case Linked to Minister's Ex-OSD

Jubilee Hills Inspector M Muttu Yadav has been suspended by senior police officials in Hyderabad over alleged lapses in handling a case linked to Sumanth, the former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Minister Konda Surekha.
The disciplinary action was taken following concerns over procedural failures in the investigation, specifically regarding the registration of the First Information Report (FIR) and negligence in tracing and arresting Sumanth despite developments in the case.
Inspector Yadav had assumed charge at the Jubilee Hills police station only around three weeks prior to the suspension order. The enforcement of the suspension comes amid intensified scrutiny by senior police leadership over how the case was managed and the conduct of the investigating officials.
Senior officials indicated that the matter remains under review, and further departmental action may follow depending on the findings of the ongoing internal inquiry into the handling of the case.
