Janasena MP's Son Booked in Madhapur Fatal Car Crash Near Inorbit Mall

Madhapur police have booked Lingamaneni Sanjush, the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP and Janasena leader Lingamaneni Ramesh, following a fatal road accident that claimed the life of a 26-year-old mall employee near Inorbit Mall in Madhapur on August 16.

The victim, identified as Bharati Mukhi, worked as a salesgirl at the Lifestyle store inside Inorbit Mall. According to police, the incident occurred around 3 pm when she was crossing the road opposite the shopping mall and was struck by a speeding vehicle.

According to a complaint lodged by the Lifestyle store manager, Bharati and her 26-year-old colleague, Pooja Ashok, had stepped out to collect food near a star hotel. The two workers were on their way back to the mall when the crash took place.

The First Information Report (FIR) alleges that Sanjush was driving an Aston Martin bearing registration number TG09 G 0666 at high speed when the car hit Bharati. She sustained severe head injuries in the impact. Following the collision, Bharati was shifted in the same vehicle to Apollo Hospitals, where medical personnel examined her and pronounced her dead.

Police have registered a case against Sanjush under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to causing death by rash and negligent driving.

Madhapur Assistant Commissioner of Police Ch Sridhar confirmed that police have served notices to the accused rather than making an immediate arrest. The ACP stated that the offence is bailable and carries a punishment of less than seven years imprisonment, adding that there was no negligence on the part of the investigating officers in handling the case.
