Jakkula Lingam Killed and Two Injured in Ibrahimpatnam Road Accident

A 32-year-old centring worker was killed and two of his colleagues were seriously injured after a car crashed into their motorcycle on Monday evening, June 8, 2026. The fatal road accident occurred near the Gurunanak College stretch in Ibrahimpatnam.

According to the local police, the victim who lost his life was identified as Jakkula Lingam, a 32-year-old centring worker. The other two individuals on the motorcycle, who suffered severe injuries, were identified as Bandi Sudhakar, aged 36, and N Nagesh, aged 32. Both Sudhakar and Nagesh also work as centring workers.

The incident took place when the three men were travelling together on a single motorcycle. The group was heading from Ibrahimpatnam and was travelling towards Petula village. As they were passing near the Gurunanak College stretch, a car collided with their motorcycle.

The impact of the collision was severe, causing serious injuries to all three riders on the motorcycle. Jakkula Lingam sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.

The other two riders, Bandi Sudhakar and N Nagesh, survived the initial impact but sustained critical injuries. Upon receiving information about the accident, emergency responders and local authorities arrived at the scene. Sudhakar and Nagesh were immediately rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Following the incident, the Ibrahimpatnam police arrived at the site of the collision to manage the situation and clear the stretch for traffic. The police have officially registered a case regarding the road accident.

An investigation has been launched by the Ibrahimpatnam police to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision between the car and the motorcycle on Monday evening. Further details regarding the driver of the car and the cause of the crash are awaited as the police continue their inquiry.
