Jaipur Clothing Label Jaykirti Opens First Physical Store in Hyderabad

The Jaipur-based clothing label Jaykirti has established its first physical retail store in Hyderabad, marking its permanent entry into the city after more than two decades of operating through exhibitions and word-of-mouth. Founded by Rani Jaykirti Singh, the brand decided to set up a physical storefront to directly serve a loyal local customer base that had previously relied on temporary exhibitions and online orders.
For over 20 years, the label grew without relying on traditional advertising campaigns, trend forecasts, or aggressive expansion. Instead, the brand focused on handcrafted cottons, hand block prints, and craftsmanship. Singh previously built her connection with Hyderabad shoppers through periodic exhibitions in the city, where she consistently experienced strong sales, alongside regular orders placed via the website and WhatsApp.
Singh chose Hyderabad for her first physical store due to both the local climate and retail market conditions. She explained that the city's warmer weather makes it an ideal market for cottons and hand block prints. Her market research also revealed a local demand for high-quality garments, noting that many cotton products currently available in Hyderabad are blended or screen printed rather than pure.
The brand's aesthetic aligns closely with what Singh describes as Hyderabad's subtle and rich taste, which values quality over heavily embellished designs. At the core of the label's offerings is the traditional craft of block printing. Because the block printing process requires lighter backgrounds, the garments are primarily produced in white or soft pastel shades. Singh personally inspects and approves every piece to ensure quality control.
While the label has gradually evolved to include chiffon sarees, hand-painted collections, velvet jackets, embroidered capes, and winter layers, it maintains consistent silhouettes across seasons, updating only the prints, colours, and designs. With Singh's daughter now joining the business, the label plans to explore other regions of the country, open additional stores, and expand its export operations.
