Jagadish Reddy Accuses Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of Neglecting Nalgonda

On Monday, June 29, 2026, former Minister and Suryapet MLA G. Jagadish Reddy accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of neglecting the development of Nalgonda district and instead launching personal attacks against opposition leaders. Speaking at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader criticized the Chief Minister's recent speeches in Nalgonda, claiming they focused on personal insults rather than addressing the developmental needs of the region.
Jagadish Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy dedicated a large portion of his speech in Nalgonda to abusing BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao, working president K.T. Rama Rao, BRSLP deputy leader T. Harish Rao, and himself. He claimed that the Chief Minister had done nothing for the erstwhile Nalgonda district during his tenure, resorting instead to political rhetoric and remarks about physical appearances.
The former Minister challenged the Congress-led government to identify a single major initiative undertaken for Nalgonda district since assuming office. He contrasted this with the tenure of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, whose visits to Nalgonda he said always brought development projects and funds.
According to Jagadish Reddy, even local Congress legislators stayed away from the Chief Minister's public meeting, while Congress activists were arrested due to fears of protests. He criticized the government for spending public money on events without delivering tangible results.
The BRS leader also accused the State government of failing to provide adequate irrigation to the district despite water being available in the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir. He demanded that the Assembly be convened immediately to discuss these public issues.
Other BRS leaders, including former MLAs Kancharla Ravindra Kumar, Bhupal Reddy, and Gongidi Sunitha, also voiced criticisms. Ravindra Kumar accused the government of neglecting major irrigation projects, including the SLBC and Dindi schemes, while failing to complete works initiated during the previous BRS administration.
