Infrastructure Growth Driving Hyderabad Realty Demand, Says CS Sanjay Jaju

Hyderabad's real estate sector is witnessing sustained demand driven by infrastructure development and an expanding business environment, Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju said on Friday during the inauguration of the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the event, Jaju noted that Hyderabad and Telangana have emerged as preferred destinations for people looking to live, work, and invest, while steadily gaining international prominence. Reflecting on his past tenure as the municipal commissioner of Hyderabad, he shared that returning to the city after nearly 12 years was encouraging, given the substantial transformation the urban landscape has undergone.

Jaju also announced that the state will host the Invest Telangana Global Summit from December 7 to December 9. He stated that property development would serve as an important pillar of the state's broader economic growth and urged real estate developers and industry stakeholders to actively participate in the summit to help draw further investments into Telangana.

During a panel discussion at the event, industry representatives pointed to the strong local housing demand and infrastructure-led expansion while also raising regulatory concerns that require state intervention.

CREDAI Hyderabad President N Jaideep Reddy acknowledged that the real estate sector's engagement with the state government had remained positive over the past year. However, he called for official action on pending regulatory matters, specifically seeking resolution regarding the 10 percent building-permit mortgage rule and its NALA-linked component.
