Indrajaal and Sigma Bag Rs 155-Crore Anti-Drone Orders

Hyderabad-based Indrajaal Autonomous Defense Systems and Sigma Advanced Systems have announced orders worth approximately Rs 155 crore from the Indian government for their Indrajaal Ranger anti-drone platform.
The combined deals include a major Rs 145 crore order awarded to the Indrajaal-Sigma consortium to deploy the system in India's border-security environment. In addition, a separate order valued at approximately Rs 10 crore from Urban Police will introduce the Ranger platform for VVIP protection and urban security operations.
The Indrajaal Ranger is India's only ARDTC-approved Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle. It was conceived and developed as a mobile Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) platform capable of delivering full operational capability while moving at high speeds.
Unlike traditional fixed-site counter-drone installations, the Ranger system allows security agencies to transport protected airspace dynamically based on mission requirements. This includes deployments along international borders, VVIP transit routes, public event venues, and critical infrastructure sites across the country.
The vehicle-mounted system is powered by SkyOS Ranger, which integrates advanced sensor arrays, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and centralized command and control functions alongside layered countermeasures into a unified autonomous setup.
The defensive mechanism relies on three distinct protection layers designed to handle various threat levels. The first layer, named 'Retractor', takes control of rogue drones safely to enable controlled recovery and subsequent forensic analysis.
The second layer, called 'Lakshman Rekha', establishes a virtual protective boundary to stop unauthorized drones from entering designated secured airspace. The third component, 'Net Interceptor', acts as a physical countermeasure by physically capturing hostile drones if electronic jamming or override measures prove insufficient during an operational threat.
