IndiGo System Outage Disrupts Flight Bookings and Web Check-Ins in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD — A technical outage affecting IndiGo Airlines' core reservation platform caused widespread intermittent disruptions across its official website and mobile application on Wednesday, leaving flyers facing failed transactions and check-in delays.
The airline acknowledged the technical glitch through a statement on its social media handle, noting, “We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.” The airline team later confirmed that the technical issues were resolved and that both the website and mobile app were back to normal operations.
While the systems were down, IndiGo advised passengers requiring immediate travel assistance to reach out directly to its Contact Centre for support. Travellers with scheduled journeys later in the day or on future dates were asked to wait and retry accessing the website or application after some time.
The outage had an immediate impact on flight reservations and airport operations. Nitin Joseph of BMJ Travels reported that attempts to use the airline's digital channels encountered multiple system blockages, with users frequently receiving “No Data Available” or “No flights found” error messages during flight searches.
According to Joseph, the breakdown resulted in failed ticket bookings across both IndiGo's direct digital channels and external third-party travel booking platforms. The disruption also disabled web check-in services, preventing passengers from generating and securing their boarding passes online. As a consequence, travellers experienced increased wait times at airports due to slower manual processing at physical check-in counters.
