ICIE Launches Explore2Expand Taiwan Initiative In Hyderabad For Tech Startups

On June 29, 2026, the International Council for Innovators and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) announced the launch of 'Explore2Expand Taiwan' in Hyderabad. This new global delegation initiative is scheduled to run from July 29 to August 2, 2026. It aims to connect local and global entrepreneurs, startups, investors, and researchers directly with Taiwan’s technology, innovation, and academic ecosystem.

The initiative serves as a significant step toward strengthening global collaboration across multiple sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with Taiwan's globally renowned technology environment to foster international partnerships. The delegation will focus heavily on key industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, electronics, digital transformation, deep technology, and advanced manufacturing.

According to the ICIE, the program has been specially curated to benefit a diverse group of professionals and institutions. This includes business leaders, startups, innovators, investors, exporters, students, faculty members, and research scholars. Industry associations and institutions looking for global partnerships and international expansion opportunities are also encouraged to participate.

The official announcement of the delegation follows strategic discussions led by Sundeep Kumar Makthala, the Founding Convener of ICIE. Makthala held meetings with key Taiwanese representatives to lay the groundwork for the initiative. Among those involved in the discussions were Vivian Huang, the International Cooperation Strategy Officer at the Institute for Information Industry (III) under the Government of Taiwan.

Additionally, Makthala held talks with Dr. Michael Lin, the CEO of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). These discussions aimed to establish strong ties between the delegation and Taiwan's premier academic and research institutions.

Through the Explore2Expand Taiwan initiative, ICIE hopes to build lasting bridges between international stakeholders and Taiwan's advanced industrial sector, opening up new pathways for technological and research-based growth.
