HYDRAA Reclaims Five Acres Of Government Land Near Metal Charminar In Serilingampally

On Tuesday, the Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) successfully reclaimed and secured five acres of valuable government land in Khanamet village, which is located in the Serilingampally mandal. The recovered property is situated along the key roadway connecting the Metal Charminar landmark and the HITEX Exhibition Centre, placing the site in a highly prominent area of the local IT corridor.

The targeted enforcement action was initiated after the local Revenue Department lodged a formal complaint regarding unauthorized activities on the site. Following a direct request from the Serilingampally Revenue authorities to intervene, HYDRAA mobilized its teams to clear the encroachments that had been established on the government-owned property, which is officially designated under Survey No. 42.

During the Tuesday operation, demolition teams dismantled and removed several illegal structures from the site. These unauthorized installations included two temporary sheds, a constructed room, and fencing that had been put up by occupiers to cordon off the land. Officials noted that the five-acre parcel of government land is extremely valuable, which is why it had become a target for unauthorized occupation.

According to reports from the revenue authorities, certain individuals had allegedly been attempting to encroach upon this specific property for several years. These individuals had reportedly blocked members of the public and other officials from accessing the site, all while continuously and falsely claiming private ownership of the government land.

To prevent any future attempts at illegal occupation or trespass, HYDRAA took immediate physical measures to secure the area. Immediately after clearing the illegal structures, the agency erected secure fencing around the entire five-acre boundary of Survey No. 42. Officials also installed prominent signboards across the site, explicitly identifying the land as government property to warn off any potential trespassers.

This successful land reclamation operation in the Serilingampally mandal highlights the ongoing collaboration between HYDRAA and local revenue authorities to protect valuable public assets and clear illegal encroachments across the Ranga Reddy district.
