HYDRAA Reclaims Five Acres Of Government Land Near Metal Charminar

On Tuesday, the Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) carried out a major enforcement operation to reclaim and secure five acres of highly valuable government land in Khanamet. The reclaimed land is situated along the busy road that connects the local landmark of Metal Charminar with the HITEX Exhibition Centre.
The anti-encroachment drive took place in Survey No. 42 of Khanamet village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Serilingampally mandal. The joint action was initiated by HYDRAA after receiving a formal complaint from the Revenue Department, which was followed by a direct request for assistance from the Serilingampally Revenue authorities.
During the course of the operation, HYDRAA officials successfully cleared multiple unauthorized structures that had been erected on the government property. Among the removed encroachments were two temporary sheds, a constructed room, and fencing that had been set up to block access to the site.
According to official statements, the five-acre parcel of land is considered highly valuable due to its strategic location within the city's IT corridor. For several years, certain individuals had allegedly been attempting to encroach upon the property. These individuals had claimed private ownership of the land and had actively prevented others from accessing the site.
Following the successful removal of the illegal structures, HYDRAA and the local revenue authorities took immediate steps to secure the five-acre area. The agency erected new fencing around the entire boundary of the reclaimed land to prevent future encroachment attempts.
Additionally, official signboards were installed at the site. These signs explicitly identify the five-acre parcel as government property, ensuring that the ownership of the land is clear to the public.
