Hyderabad's Sigma Advanced Systems Inks £125 Million Rolls-Royce Deal

Hyderabad-based aerospace and defence manufacturer Sigma Advanced Systems has secured an additional seven-year agreement with Rolls-Royce Aerospace UK valued at nearly £125 million (approximately Rs 1,600 crore). The company announced the development on Monday, confirming that the contract will be executed through its newly acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions, based in Leicester.

The latest deal expands Sigma's role in the British engine maker's global supply chain. It builds directly upon a previously announced £300 million (approximately Rs 3,900 crore) long-term agreement with Rolls-Royce.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Bromford Precision Solutions will manufacture engine structures leveraging Sigma's integrated UK-India manufacturing network. This arrangement establishes a dual-source supply model for Rolls-Royce across its supply chain.

Bromford was acquired as part of Sigma's broader strategy to establish an aerospace platform in the United Kingdom alongside Nasmyth, another entity acquired by the group. Bromford adds specialist manufacturing capabilities in precision components, including aero-engine rings, casings, and lock plates.

According to Sigma Advanced Systems, the combined contracts provide the group with stronger revenue visibility and expand its manufacturing presence across critical aerospace programmes.
