Hyderabad Youth Dies by Suicide in Texas After Struggling to Find Job Post-Master's

A youth from Hyderabad, Sai Pradeep, allegedly died by suicide in San Antonio, Texas, on August 21 after being depressed over his inability to secure employment despite earning a master's degree in the United States.
According to his family members and social media posts by the Indian community in the US, Pradeep had been searching for a job for the past few months after completing his master's in computer science from the Anderson University College of Business in South Carolina.
Pradeep had moved to the United States in 2024 to pursue his higher education. Family accounts indicated that he was dejected by his unsuccessful job search and was facing mounting financial pressures.
In a GoFundMe post set up following the tragedy, his cousin Deepthi shared details about his life in the US, recalling that he was known affectionately as 'Deepu' among family and friends. She noted that he had also learned Spanish during his time in the US, demonstrating his curiosity and eagerness to learn.
"His unexpected passing has left his parents, family, and loved ones with a loss that is difficult to put into words," the post stated as relatives and members of the community mourned his sudden demise.
