Hyderabad Traffic Police to run KBR Park one way traffic trial on June 21

The Hyderabad Traffic Police will conduct a one-way traffic trial around KBR Park in the Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas on June 21, 2026, to facilitate ongoing infrastructure works. The temporary traffic trial will run from 10 am to 8 pm to support the construction of a steel flyover and underpass under the Hyderabad City Innovative & Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project.
Motorists travelling through Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills have been advised by authorities to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes. The trial aims to assess vehicular flow patterns and minimise congestion in the busy corridor while major infrastructure works continue.
Several key stretches surrounding KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road Nos. 36 and 45, and routes connecting Madhapur and the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge will witness diversions during the trial period. Commuters travelling from areas such as NFCL Junction, Yousufguda, Srinagar Colony, and ITC Kohinoor have been advised to use alternative routes identified by traffic authorities.
To assist commuters, the Hyderabad Traffic Police will deploy personnel at critical junctions to guide motorists. Special signage and lane changers have been arranged to help drivers navigate the revised traffic pattern. Furthermore, traffic officials have restricted U-turn movements on designated routes to ensure smoother vehicular flow.
Authorities have requested citizens to follow traffic instructions, use navigation applications for real-time updates, and opt for public transport or carpooling wherever possible. Heavy vehicles have also been advised to avoid the affected stretch during peak hours.
The Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said the temporary inconvenience is necessary to support the city’s ongoing infrastructure expansion and improve long-term traffic management.
