Hyderabad Traffic Police Book 1,015 Cases in Special Enforcement Drives

The Hyderabad traffic police booked a total of 1,015 cases during targeted special enforcement drives conducted over the past week to crack down on the obstruction of free-left passages and minor driving violations across the city.

Of the total violations recorded during the enforcement drive, 334 cases were registered specifically against minor driving. The remaining cases were booked against motorists who blocked designated free-left corridors, causing congestion and disrupting vehicular movement at intersections.

Joint Commissioner of City Traffic D. Joel Davis stated that these special drives will continue in order to ensure better traffic discipline and enhance road safety across Hyderabad. He advised the public not to obstruct free-left movements and urged parents and guardians not to permit minors to drive vehicles.

Issuing a caution, the Joint Commissioner warned vehicle owners and parents against handing over vehicles to minors. Authorities emphasised that allowing an unlicensed person to drive is a punishable offence, and strict penal action will be taken against the registered vehicle owners in accordance with the law.

The Hyderabad traffic police appealed to all road users to strictly follow traffic regulations and cooperate with police personnel to support road safety and ensure the smooth flow of traffic throughout the city.
