Hyderabad Startup Indrajaal Bags ₹155 Crore MHA Order for Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicles

Hyderabad-based anti-drone technology startup Indrajaal Autonomous Defense Systems has secured orders worth ₹155 crore from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for its purpose-built anti-drone patrol vehicle, the Indrajaal Ranger.

The procurement will support homeland security operations across both border land patrolling and urban policing. According to the company, the deployment marks a major expansion of counter-drone security, transitioning capabilities from traditional, fixed military-style installations to mobile operations along national borders, VVIP transit routes, and urban centers.

Under the deal, an order valued at ₹145 crore has been awarded to the consortium of Indrajaal and Sigma Advanced Systems. This segment of the contract will be dedicated to border-security deployments. A separate contract valued at approximately ₹10 crore has been allocated to introduce the system into urban policing frameworks, city security setups, and VVIP protection details.

The Indrajaal Ranger vehicle has received formal approval from the Anti-Rogue Drone Technology Committee (ARDTC), a dedicated technical evaluation body established under the MHA.

Designed for dynamic operations, the Ranger platform is capable of detecting, tracking, identifying, and countering rogue unmanned aerial systems while traveling at high speeds. Unlike stationary counter-UAS platforms, the mobile system is engineered to deliver continuous security coverage across vulnerable border stretches, public event venues, airports, critical infrastructure installations, and VIP convoy routes.
