Hyderabad Singer Malavika Anand Invited to Cultural Collaboration in US

Hyderabad-based classical and devotional singer Malavika Anand has been invited by the Sunder Foundation, USA, to attend a cultural collaboration event at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center in California on August 29.

The programme is being organised as part of the celebrations marking the completion of 250 years of the United States of America. The event aims to bring together musicians, industry professionals, festival audiences, and cultural stakeholders for artistic development and international collaboration within the global music community.

During her visit to the United States, Anand will participate in artistic exchanges, interact with fellow musicians and cultural professionals, and make promotional appearances.

According to Dr Keerthy Sunder, Chairman of the Sunder Foundation, the initiative seeks to promote cultural exchange and foster creative partnerships across borders. Several prominent artists are scheduled to attend the event alongside Anand, including tabla maestros Anindo and Anubrata Chatterjee, George Brooks, Suhail Khan, Labonee Mohanta, Aditya Ganesh, Dr Shobana Vankipuram, Aakash Pujara, Arun Ramamurthy, and Anirudh Venkatesh, along with Dr Keerthy Sunder.

Anand is an accomplished vocalist from Hyderabad who has performed in more than 700 music concerts across India and abroad. Capable of singing in eight different languages, her career includes notable performances at prestigious venues such as the Mysore Palace during the Dasara festival and the World Telugu Conference held at Tirupati.
