Hyderabad Sets Strict Security and Facilities at 4 NEET-PG Centres

The Hyderabad district administration has finalised elaborate arrangements across four examination centres in the district for the NEET-PG examination scheduled for August 30. Approximately 990 candidates are set to appear for the test, which will be conducted from 9 am to 12.30 pm under strict administrative supervision.

District Collector Dr Priyanka Ala directed officials to strictly enforce guidelines established by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). During a coordination meeting held in Hyderabad on Thursday, Dr Ala reviewed all preparations related to essential infrastructure, staff deployment, sanitation, drinking water availability, uninterrupted power supply, and medical camps across the designated venues.

Security protocols will be enforced across all testing locations. Electronic devices, smart gadgets, and other prohibited items will be completely barred from entering examination centres. Examination halls will feature web live-streaming facilities, and network jammers will be activated during the test. The district collector has also directed cyber police and cyber commandos to maintain continuous surveillance on social media platforms to intercept misinformation and prevent any attempts to disrupt the examination.

To prevent last-minute delays, candidates have been advised to arrive at their designated centres by 7 am. The transport department and local traffic police have been tasked with coordinating traffic flow to ensure candidates reach their venues without facing travel hurdles.

Comprehensive policing and frisking measures will be active at all four venues. Special teams equipped with handheld metal detectors, including female frisking staff, will screen candidates upon entry. Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs), who have been designated as nodal officers, were instructed to personally inspect the venues ahead of time to verify all logistics. On the exam day, RDOs will serve as flying squads, while tehsildars will be deployed as sitting squads inside the centres.
